St Vincent's Primary School Morwell

St. Vincent de Paul Primary School is a Catholic school in Morwell which is situated in the Latrobe Valley, in regional Victoria, approximately two hours from Melbourne.

The school was originally established in 1957 by the Sisters of St Joseph. St Vincent de Paul Primary School continues the good work of the Sisters by providing a quality Catholic education to its students.

Through a balanced building and maintenance program St Vincent de Paul Primary School remains well-resourced to provide the best of current trends in education. All classrooms have been recently refurbished to provide bright, modern new learning environments. Other recent works include the construction of a library, synthetic turf soccer field and playground redevelopment.

In 2009/2010 the junior school teachers are participating in an Oral Language Research Project to improve oral language skills in the early years.

St Vincent de Paul Primary School is a KidsMatter school which aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and families within our school community. We play an important part in the community by providing a playgroup and an Active After School program.

Our school is highly regarded in the local community and this is a testament to the dedication of the staff, continued support from parents and our students.
